| Let’s start with this one, shall we? |
Ask your partner | I think this would be good because… |
| This wouldn’t be such a good idea because… |
| This might work… |
| So, what do you think? |
| Do you think that’s a good idea? |
| Do you agree? |
Say why you like it | I prefer… |
| I think this is better because… |
Agreement with your partner | Yes, that’s a good point. |
| I see what you mean. |
| That’s a good idea! |
Disagreeing | Well, I’m not so sure about that. |
| I don’t think that’s such a good idea. |
Try to end up with | Which one shall we choose? |
| So, shall we choose this one? |
| Do you agree that this is the best one? |
Tips:
Don’t try to speak over your partner.
Try to say something when your partner is stuck.
Ask him “what do you think about this? / I see what you mean.
Or just say “I don’t think that’s such a good idea” giving a new idea so you both have something more to talk about.
Helping each other can be very wise.
